What is Seitai Shinpo Acupuncture?

SEI – correct, proper, original
TAI – body, posture
SHIN – acupuncture
PO – method

The body works best when in proper alignment.  Seitai Shinpo helps release tight muscles along the spine, allowing the body to move freely and return to its natural gravitational center.

Setai Shinpo Acupuncture and Moxibustion returns the body to its preferred state of balance and harmony by:

  • Stopping Pain
  • Releasing Spinal Tension
  • Nourishing and Moving the Blood
  • Benefiting the Immune System
  • Balancing the Nervous System
  • Harmonizing the Internal Organs

It is All About Healthy Blood Flow
According to eastern medical theory, stagnant blood produces pain, restriction, and disease. Most simply put, Seitai Shinpo acupuncture is about nourishing and moving healthy blood throughout the body to restore and maintain health.

Without soft-tissue restrictions, the bones can move freely in their proper locations, circulation and nerve impulses flow in a more balanced manner, and the immune and endocrine systems function at their peak. Furthermore, the proper spinal alignment that results from continued treatment creates space in the body cavity for the organs to function at their peak.

Each treatment focuses on acupuncture points along the spine that have been biomedically proven to relate to nervous system control of the major organs.  By shifting the body-mind from the “flight or fight” or sympathetic mode to the “rest and digest” parasympathetic mode, Setai Shinpo allows the internal organs to heal.

Moxibustion
Moxibustion is an important part of every Seitai Shinpo treatment.  The herb Artemsia vulgaris (Moxa) provides powerful blood tonification, encouraging the body to produce more white blood cells and improving the shape and function of red blood cells.
